Clarissa aka Parker, was a young woman who had made a terrible misjudgement of character. She'd married a monster and now every day she had to walk a tightrope of orders and the ''right'' way of doing things, one task and one foot in front of the other...if she fails, if she falls, Steven will finally live up to his promise. Fawn Zele is the queen of emotive writing, she gets inside of your head and twists your brain, she plays with your heartstrings like a master puppeteer and slowly manipulates your thoughts with her melodic prose until you cant help but sob like a baby. You cling to her words for comfort, never daring to put the book down until she's led you home and tucked you in to bed with a comforting 'The End' I've found myself re-reading this book 3 times now, each time the journey is the same but the genuine fear Zele incites on Clarissas behalf becomes more real! You notice minute details that you missed the first time...Parker's reaction when a glass smashes, a lingering look, something! and suddenly you've been drawn in again. Fawn is the Debussy of the Indie community and we are all waiting with baited breath for her next concerto. 5 Amazingly well deserved stars!!! This is My book of 2015 so far.

I'm going to start my review by thanking Ms Zele, this is one of the most powerful and heartbreaking (then heart-warming) stories that I've read in a long time! The leading lady, Liz Murphy, was used to being alone and feeling unloved so, of course, she grew up longing for a family of her own, she met her husband and her little world was perfect....until his life was cruelly cut short and Liz was all alone again with only her best friend Sophie to support her. She then decided that nothing was worth the pain so she retreated into a grief stricken shell where nothing seem possible...so she attempted to end it all. Sophie decided that she wouldn't let Liz wallow in her depression anymore so drags her slowly back to life...enter Braxton!

Braxton was also operating in self-destruct mode, with a long string of meaningless one night encounters and working towards a full breakdown. There was only one woman that mattered to him and she was his sole focus. He had no time to even entertain the thought of a relationship.

This book was written in an educated and emotive fashion. I adored the secondary characters (Sophie and Travis) they provided the much needed softer side to the story. I find myself in a bit of a quandary here...I'm in love with the story and the characters, its exceptionally well written and the internal narratives provided by both characters gave you a greater insight into their feelings. Here lies the problem...How on earth with Zele manage to top this with her next novel!!!

5 stars!! If I could award more here...I would! very well done Ms Zele!
