Dirty Nails by Regina Bartley RELEASE BLITZ!

Dirty Nails
by
Regina Bartley

Synopsis:

From the outside looking in, this life may seem jacked up. People may think that I've completely lost my mind. They only see the bruises. They don't know that Maxwell Costin saved my life, and that I owe him everything. I'm alive because of him. So when he tells me to keep my mouth shut, and do what he says then that's exactly what I do. And if anyone asks about the dirty bodies, the dirty floors, or Max's dirty hands, I know nothing. Even if the man asking is dark and dangerously sexy. I will not break. Try me…

***Recommended for ages 18+ due to graphic language, sexual content, & mature subject matter.*** This book is not for the weak at heart.

5*

I'd just like to start this review by giving Ms Bartley a standing ovation! -stands and claps wildly-
This is the twisted and screwed up story of a young girl who believes herself to be in love...she believes that everything that Max does is for her protection. That he is her home, her safe place. If all you have ever known is cruelty...how would you ever know that love could, or indeed SHOULD, be any different?
Then a new guy, Sketch, turns up working for Maxwell, he has as many demons as Shay and the two have an instant, albeit slightly odd, chemistry.
Anyone who has read anything by Regina in the past will be in for a shock...this is soooo far past anything that you'd expect that you'll be knocked into a whole new world! This is raw, exceptionally dark, edgy, gritty and filled with such truly filthy fuckery that even the Dark queen herself (Madam Ker Dukey) would be proud but the Hershey's Bartley undertone still remains true! The plot was flawless and the character development was spectacular! watching Shay flit between ''Shay'' and returning to Sadie towards the end was deeply heart warning and heart breaking all at once.
This is an un-put-downable story of love, lies murder, betrayal and finally finding redemption. VERY well done Ms Bartley! I am in Awe 5 STARS (10 if Lily will let me borrow a few!)

Causing Heartbreak by Regina Bartley RELEASE DAY BLITZ

Title: Causing Heartbreak
Series: Unbroken #2
Author: Regina Bartley
Genre: Adult, Contemporary Romance
Release Date: November 30, 2014

Sometimes in life we can’t help who we fall in love with, no matter how hard we try. No matter what type of person they make us become. Wren Porter knew that first hand. Her best friend’s brother, Dane Evans’ was the only guy she’d ever had eyes for. He was, “The One.” The one she was supposed to marry someday. To grow old with, but it was hard to love someone that would never love her back.

After revealing to Dane that their one-night-stand had resulted in a pregnancy, she knew that the baby would be her only real link to the boy she loved. After tragedy strikes, Wren was left feeling like her heart would be broken forever. But hearts were made to mend, and people were made to love. And when an unexpected person comes into her life, it forces her to feel, something she hasn't done in a long time. She thought it was too soon, and that she wasn't ready. What she didn't know was that love doesn't come when you expect it or when you’re ready. It came crashing in at the craziest of times, and when you thought you’d never be able to love again.

Would she ever fully recover from the boy that would forever cause her heartbreak? Because the green-eyed boy wanted her whole heart and nothing less?

It’s time to stop running, stop hiding, and start learning where the true escape lies. Everyone will face heartbreak, but not everyone will find love.

This is the second book in the unbroken series (If you haven't read Escaping heartbreak..i seriously suggest that you one click both!) we revisit a standing character, and one of my favourites, Wren Porter! She'd been in love with Dane for half her life and after a hot and steamy alcohol-fuelled one nighter she finds herself pregnant, alone and disillusioned...in an ordinary novel this would be where i write that Dane pulled up his socks and relished being a father and he and Wren lived happily ever after......alas, this is Regina Bartley and she wont be happy until she costs me a million pounds in tissues (and saves me a million in therapy!) Instead a tragedy occurs (no, i'm not telling you what happened, buy the book!) and Wren has to deal with her emotional response while finding a way to carry on. This is quite honestly one of the most emotive and reactionary books i have ever read, Regina has done something extraordinary with this novel! she's taken a series of tragic and heartbreaking events and turned them into a story of hope. Exceptionally well written as always and, in my opinion, an unmissable addition to any Bartley fans library. Well done Madam Bartley! You've done our girl proud! 5 STARS!!

This man had such an effect on me. He made my palms sweat. He made me fidgety and un-girly like. He made me laugh, when all I really wanted to do was cry. Those damn green eyes made me want to look so deeply into them that I’d get lost. -Wren

Escaping Heartbreak by Regina Bartley REVIEW

Escaping Heartbreak by Regina Bartley

It’s time for Sawyer to start living her life. Since she was fifteen she has taken care of everyone but herself, including her older brother Dane. She has been lying to herself to keep from feeling the pain of her parent’s death. Now she is twenty and she’s ready to start a life of her own. Moving into her parent’s lake house would be the perfect escape. Wouldn’t it? That’s what she thought. Only, it led her right into the emotional place she’s been hiding from all this time. All of those years of running from her feelings, she now has to face them. It’s too much. She can’t deal with it alone. Someone has to help. She’ll do anything to escape the heartbreak, but you can only run so far.
Travis can’t believe his eyes; his half-opened, blood shot eyes. Sawyer Evans was in the flesh and standing over him. He hadn’t seen this girl since he was ten years old. Travis only saw the Evan’s during the summer when they moved into the lake house. He and Dane were best friends. When Dane invited him and the old gang to a welcome back party at the Lake House, he couldn’t wait to go. It turns out getting wasted was only half the fun. Seeing Sawyer was the other half. She was the sexiest girl he’d ever seen and he was going to make sure that she knew it. Only she shot him down time and time again. He’s determined to break down those walls and get inside her head, but he’ll have to be sober to do it, and no matter how hard he tries, she’ll always run. He can’t keep chasing her. He has to figure out a way to make her stay.
It’s time to stop running, stop hiding, and start learning where the true escape lies. Everyone will face heartbreak, but not everyone will find love.

My Review

5*
Bartley has done something that few others could, she's turned me into a mushy mess!
Sawyer is portrayed as a tough young woman who hasn't had the time to address her own grief following the death of her parents because she was too busy putting everyone elses needs and wants first.
Pretty soon she re-meets her first love Travis, the only boy that she ever let close enough to her heart to actually do damage.
Travis is fighting demons of his own when Sawyer crashes back into his life.
The supporting cast also deserve a mention, her best friend, Wren, is a strong character and i sense that we'll be seeing a lot more of her in the next book (available at the end of November)
But personally my favourite character is Waylon, Bartley wrote his and Travis' story in such a quiet and compassionate way that you couldn't help but be drawn to them. I defy any mother in the world not to want to pick those boys up and hug the life out of them.
I don't have enough praise in my fingertips, nor words in my head to do this review justice! so let me just say this...This is a book that will have you reaching for the tissues, this is a book that will touch your heart and begin to heal your soul, this is a book that will make reach for the one you love and hold on tight, in my opinion this is a book that will make even the iciest heart melt a little, this is a 5 star, unmissable emotional triumph! One click this bad boy asap!
