JEEEEEZ ladies! Now i'm going to start this review without my usual fluff and round up of what happens because frankly...i don't even know how to sum this up without giving anything away!! If you've ever read anything by either lady before then you'll know that smoochy-smoochy, kissy-kissy, just isn't their style....and thank Christ for that! This story is Darker than an occupied Alcatraz at night and I'm officially in love! It's dark. gritty, terrifying and will send shivers down your spine. This is the sort of book that makes you terrified to be alone...suddenly you're searching for your cat and sleeping with the light on! The writing...well...let me just drop you a quote here... ''CLICK.....capturing her death was the embodiment of power; watching her dreams leave her so unreservedly and so effortlessly. Witnessing her once strong will desert her and mock her bitterly was rather sad to watch, a void now occupying where fullness had once influenced'' and thatttt was on the first page! Dukey and Sidebottom have a way of weaving you under their spell, their words transporting you to another land...a land where good and evil aren't as easy to spot as they are in the comic books...the heroes don't wear Lycra and the Monsters are no more conspicuous than you or I. This magical land that they lead to you...it's as terrifyingly familiar as it is totally foreign. These ladies show you evil in all of its glory and I, for one, never want to leave! Absolutely, mind f**kingly, perfect!! 10 million stars! OK fine....5 solid platinum ones with diamond daggers inserted!

She is an avid reader and her tastes range from horror to erotic, but she loves to help new authors get into the ‘scene’. She loves rock music and tattooed guys, and has a weakness for coffee, wine and Belgium buns.

I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters. I wanted to be an actress growing up so I could live many roles but I learned early on that my mind was too active… I would want to change the script.I would watch films and think of ways they could have improved the story if they took another direction so i thought it best that i tell my own.

My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light, some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling.

When I’m not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I’m a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister.

My books all tend to be darker romance, edge of your seat, angst filled reads. My advice to my readers when starting one of my titles...prepare for the unexpected.

My Review

After I finished FaCade I was dying to get my hands on Cadence and Ker and Dawn did not disappoint. Everything about Cadence draws you in, the revenge, the lust, the drama, the utter betrayal... Every last word is designed to draw you in and hold you hostage, these two authors are ridiculously talented separately and together they are mind numbing!

I absolutely loved the story! It's dark, it's gritty and it is oh so addictive! The characters are so diverse – you literally have every personality type covered. All the characters continued to develop in a way that was true to both the progression of the story and to FaCade. Where in FaCade I couldn't stand Faye (Star), in Cadence I LOVED her. She is everything I wanted her to turn into and she is the kind of leading lady that everyone wants to come out on top. Cade is simply explosive, he bursts onto the page demanding your attention until you can't help but give in and give him exactly what he wants. Dante is still Dante, and I still have absolutely no idea why he seems to have gotten under my skin like he has!

This is one addictive series and I recommend it highly! Just make sure you have everything you need at hand because you won't want to put it down long enough to go get it! Another one knocked out of the park Ker & Dawn! :)
