Leaving Jamie Cole was the hardest thing Ellie Pearce ever had to do. Somehow, she moved on. She made a new life in a new city with a new man. So when a family tragedy calls Ellie back home, she believes all her old feelings for Jamie—the hunger, the heat, the heartbreak-are safely behind her. But the second she lays eyes on him, the intensity of their connection is as strong as ever.

Sometimes you stay and fight . . .

Jamie knows pain. He's felt it fighting in the streets, and he felt it fighting to survive in prison. Yet nothing he's experienced has been as painful as the day Ellie left—until the moment she came back. This time Jamie is determined to hold on to Ellie forever. But as much as she still loves him, she can't ignore the dark world he's now a part of. Jamie has enemies. Dangerous ones. And after seeing Jamie with Ellie, they know exactly how to take him out . . .

EXCERPT

“’Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.” Alfred, Lord Tennyson, said that in some poem in the 1800s. In my opinion, Alfred, Lord Tennyson, was full of shit.
Maybe Lord Tennyson had never truly loved someone; maybe he’d never cared for someone else more than he cared for himself, because if he had, if he’d loved someone so deeply he’d been willing to die for them, how could he have written such a horseshit line? I’m merely speculating, of course. I’m no academic, so I know nothing about the guy other than that one quote. So how then, you may ask, does my opinion so vehemently disagree with his?
Because I was in love once.
Only once.
And I lost her.
And I would give any fucking thing in the world to have never loved her at all. No, it most definitely is not better to have loved and lost..
Fuck love. And fuck Lord Tennyson.

★★★★★

Worth Fighting For is easily one of the best sequels I’ve read in a while, it takes something special to keep me just as invested and interested in characters after 300+ pages as I was in the first chapter but somehow Kirsty has done that and then some, she not only kept my interest piqued with these characters but she made me fall in love with them all over again. There is no doubt in my mind that Kirsty has smashed it out of the park with this series.

There’s a couple of years gap between the end of Fighting to Be Free and Worth Fighting For, which means both Jamie and Ellie have built separate and very different lives, I was a bit apprehensive about the way they were going clash because of how different they are now, but I should have known better because even though they have both changed a bit they are still the same Jamie and Ellie at heart. Once again the story is told from both Jamie and Ellie’s POV and I can’t imagine their story being told any other way, it would drive me crazy not knowing what the other was thinking or feeling. I adored the sweet side of Jamie that we got to see in Fighting to Be Free, but it has to be said that dark and dangerous Jamie in Worth Fighting For is incredible... There are a few parts when my jaw just dropped because let’s face it everyone loves a bad boy and Jamie is something else ;).

I was so totally hooked on this book I just couldn’t put it down... I didn’t predict a single part of the story and even though the suspense was unbearable at times I just about managed to resist the urge to page flip!! I’m not going to say much more because there are way too many possible spoilers but I will say this, dive in headfirst you really won’t be sorry. Thank you for another incredible book Kirsty <3

★★★★★

Just wow, I don’t really know where to begin because 5 stars just doesn’t seem like enough, this book deserves so much more than that... Kirsty is one of the few authors that I’ll blindly buy everything she publishes, I love her writing style and the way she brings the characters to life blows my mind. Fighting to Be Free was a book that I hadn’t really read much about, I didn’t read the earlier version on Wattpad, I didn’t read many excerpts and I read only a handful of teasers. I just couldn’t bring myself to take even the slightest chance that I would ruin my reading experience, I wanted to read it whole and I wanted it so bad that it’s been on my calendar since the release date was announced. Because I hadn’t read much about Fighting to Be Free I steered clear of EVERYTHING to do with Worth Fighting For (Book 2), I didn’t actually read the synopsis until I had finished Fighting to Be Free and I am so glad I didn’t, it definitely would have changed my reading experience and even though I was left raw from it I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Jamie and Ellie are just incredible, because I had stayed away from teasers etc I had no idea what kind of characters they were, whether I would love them or hate them, and as it turns out at times I loved to hate them ;). Both of them are more complex than they look on the surface, I was so happy when I realised that the story was told from both POVs, I don’t think I could have handled not knowing what was going through both of their heads... Sometimes having a story in one POV is good for building suspense but with this one there is more than enough suspense and more of it surely would have driven me mad, I was just too emotionally invested to cope with the not knowing. I can’t sing their praises enough and I could spend ages listing all the reasons why I love them but I’ll just go with my main reason... They seem human, they both make mistakes and they both have hang ups that make them seem so real in a fictional world and having that injection of reality made it so much easier to connect with them.

From the very first chapter this book stole my heart, with each high the fist that seemed to be wrapped around my heart would loosen, but for every high there is a low and when that low came it was almost unbearable, I just wanted to save them from themselves and the people around them... A few times I had to put my Kindle down and walk away because my emotions were all over the place. I don’t feel like anything I could say will do it justice, it’s just a really amazing book... I am once again well and truly blown away by Kirsty’s talent, she never fails to deliver but with this one she went above and beyond any expectations I had. Thank you for sharing these two with the world Kirsty, I absolutely, wholeheartedly, unconditionally love them! <3

EXCERPT

He rolled onto his side, reaching out his hand and pulling me against him as he slowly ran his hands down my back.
“That was incredible, Ellie,” he murmured, kissing my nose. He was grinning from ear to ear as he stroked his fingers across my cheekbone.
I smiled and sighed contentedly. “Yeah, it was.” And it really had been. That was incredible; he had been soft and tender, his hands seeming to explore every part of me as he’d taken my body to heaven and back again. He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me tightly against him, tangling our legs together as he just looked at every inch of my face with a small, satisfied smile on his lips.
“You don’t have much stuff,” I stated after we’d been silently cuddling on his bed for a couple of minutes.
He frowned. “Uh, no, I haven’t even been here a week.”
“Where were you living before?” I probed, wanting to hear the sound of his sexy voice some more. He shifted uncomfortably, and I took the hint that he didn’t want to talk about it. “That’s okay, you don’t have to say.” I rolled so that I was on top of him and sat up, straddling him. He ran his hands up my thighs and rested them on my hips, just watching me with a satisfied smile on his face.
I sighed. It was time to go. This was where it got a little awkward. What was I supposed to say? Thanks and good-bye? “So, I guess I should get going. Would you mind calling me a cab?” I asked, climbing off him and looking around the room for my clothes.
The bed creaked behind me. “You’re going? Why?” I didn’t need to look to know he would be frowning—I could hear the shock in his tone.
I smiled at him over my shoulder. He was sitting up on the bed, a little pouty expression on his face as he watched my every move. “Well, I’ve never had a one-night stand before, but I thought that was how it worked: You have sex and then you leave,” I joked as I pulled on my panties.
He shook his head. “No, I mean, why do you have to go now? You can stay the night; I’ll drive you home in the morning.”
“You want me to stay the night?” I asked disbelievingly.
He pushed himself up off the bed and walked to me in all his naked glory. I couldn’t keep my eyes off his body. “Yeah, I want you to stay the night,” he confirmed, smiling his sexy smile at me, making my stomach flutter.
Oh, I can definitely stay the night!

Kirsty Moseley has always been a passionate reader since she was a little girl, devouring books overnight, barely sleeping and paying for it at school the next day. Writing has come similarly to her and once she discovered Wattpad, she finally plucked up the courage to post one of her stories. Seven million reads later, she self-published her debut novel THE BOY WHO SNEAKS IN THE BEDROOM WINDOW, which later became one of 10 Finalists for the 2012 Goodreads' Choice Awards, Best YA Fiction. Shocked and overwhelmed by the response, she published her second novel ALWAYS YOU a few months later.
If she had to sum herself up in one word, it would probably be 'daydreamer' - but unlike most of her school teachers, she doesn't necessarily view that as a bad thing. After all, she read somewhere once that books are like waking dreams....

Kirsty Moseley Spotlight!!

 Kirsty Moseley Spotlight

Meet Kirsty:
Kirsty was born in Hertfordshire, England. In 2000 she moved to Norfolk, it was there that she met her husband, Lee. Now, what can be said about Lee, apart from everyone should have one? He's her biggest supporter, and she wouldn't be where she is today without his encouragement and endless support. He is her inspiration behind most of her male leads, she always trys to bring a little of him in somewhere, be it his kindness, selflessness, or just his ability to make her feel treasured.

In 2005, she was gifted with the birth of her son. He is, and always will be, the best thing she have ever done in her life. As you can probably tell, Kirsty is a very proud mummy.

Kirsty has always been interested in writing, but after the birth of her son she accidentally came across an amateur writing site. After a couple of months of just reading on there, she finally plucked up the courage and posted one of her stories. In April 2012, Kirsty, self-published her first novel ‘The Boy Who Sneaks in My Bedroom Window’ and she haven't looked back since.

Lastly, if Kirsty had to sum myself up in one word, it would probably be ‘daydreamer’ – but unlike most of her schoolteachers, she doesn’t necessarily view that as a bad thing. After all, she read somewhere once that books are like waking dreams….

Everything was perfect - that is until the arrival of Zach Anderson. A misfit delinquent that seemed to bring with him a lot of bad karma. Is it just a coincidence that his arrival marks a significant change in Maisie’s life? Up until senior year, life was perfect, but things seem to be going downhill fast.

Nothing Left to Lose

Annabelle Spencer’s life is every girl’s dream. She has wonderful parents, great friends, and of course the perfect boyfriend, Jack Roberts. That all changes on her sixteenth birthday when her life comes crashing down around her. Her dream night turns into a nightmare when Jack is murdered right in front of her, and she’s kidnapped by his murderer, Carter Thomas, a big time drug and arms dealer. After ten months of being with Carter, she’s found, but the experience has totally changed her. She’s no longer the happy-go-lucky girl that everyone used to know and love; she’s now cold, hard and suffers from night terrors. It appears that Carter broke not only her body, but her spirit too. A shadow of her former self, her slogan for life is now: 'If you don't care about anything, then you have nothing to lose'.

Carter is currently serving time for the murder of Jack, a conviction that Anna helped secure. But his retrial is coming up because some key evidence appears to have been tampered with. Unbeknown to Anna, death threats are being received by her father, the Senator. It appears that Carter is still interested in Anna and will stop at nothing to get her back.

Ashton Taylor is brought in to protect her. He’s a newly qualified SWAT agent, a bright spark, the agency’s new golden boy. He is assigned undercover, posing as her boyfriend. His job is to help her through college and keep her safe until the end of the trial in eight months’ time.

For three years she has been the broken, damaged girl, refusing to feel emotion or pain, but can Ashton help her rebuild her life and finally deal with the grief of losing her childhood sweetheart? Will he be the one to make her see that life is, in fact, worth living and that not all men will hurt her?

All the while, the shadow of the trial looms over the both of them, taunting them, reminding them that it isn’t over yet. After all, Carter Thomas will stop at nothing to be reunited with his ‘Princess’.
