Gabby has a secret.
A secret that might get her kicked out of the only true home she’s ever known.
When her powers malfunction and bring her into direct conflict with Mason — a widowed LexTal warrior who makes her heart pound and her legs weak — she scrambles to hold onto her carefully constructed world.
Mason’s wounded past keeps him from getting close to anyone but he can’t resist Gabby. There’s an essence about her his soul can’t ignore no matter how much his mind protests.
Her secret threatens to tear Gabby and Mason apart before they’ve even begun to explore the draw between them. But with the unprecedented hold she has on Mason’s heart and magic, how can he bear to let her go?

Ohhhh
Elise! seriously sometimes I wonder if my poor little heart can keep
up...if it is strong enough to last another of your books! Ms Faber
takes command of your heart and forces you to emotionally invest a
little more with each edition! Gabby and Mason haven't had the
easiest of starts but I believe that with each knock that they face
they become stronger as a couple...but this time...I can't deny that
I was worried! The suspense was so built up that you could cut it
with a knife edge (Yes I'm being a little elusive here but I really
really don't want to give anything away) The fight between the Lextal
and the Dalshie's continues to battle on but will the connection
between Gabby and Mason be strong enough to survive the latest drama?
or will it wilt and die? Read the book and find out! Exceptionally
written as always! I couldn't recommend Ms Faber any more highly. 4.5

“I needed to see you.”
“Naked?”
His feet carried him across the room before his mind even registered the action.
Her smile went a little wicked. “Not quite naked.” Though her grip on the comforter was so tight that the bones of her fingers pressed against her skin, Gabby took a breath and tossed the blanket aside.
Mason cursed, thinking that he needed something more than the towel around his waist, if he was going to make this last.
Despite moonlighting as a zookeeper and then a dog trainer, Elise decided that the only mammals she wanted to work with were her dark and sexy heroes and heroines. She inherited her love of reading from her mother and grandmother who dutifully kept stacks of romances where her teenaged fingers could easily pilfer them. She lives in Northern California with her three dogs, two energetic (read crazy) boys, and her awesome (see prior comment) husband.
