Expectations
verses reality can be a tricky line to walk, In life and in reviews.
When I see anything with Amy's name on it I instantly have very high
expectations (possibly unfairly high) so I was a little hesitant
here. I generally don't tend to enjoy author collaborations, they
usually seem a little chopped together, almost like there are too
many voices and the flow seems stilted....but when they work...they
work...and boy did 'Pointe Of Breaking' work!
Peppers
sassy fantastical style complimented Daws' hysterical empathetic
voice perfectly. The two authors merged and fed off of each other in
a way that draws the reader into their world. A world of Love and
hate, a world of extremes and secrets, a world where ambition and
attainment are everything.
Adeline
Parker dances from the soul...she's had a life filled with love and
pain, she learnt early that the two usually go together but she's
also one of the bravest characters I've read in a long time. Adeline
sees the tough choice and she's willing to make it...will her bravery
be enough to catch Leo? or will both of their pasts smash into their
present? hmmm well read the book....please read this book!! trust
me...you want to read this book!!
Dapep
(Daw's and Pepper) have done something here that I sincerely doubt
anyone else could've pulled off. They have the perfect Grand Pas De
Deux, literally the perfectly step of two. Two very different authors
treading the boards together, two very different character a frat boy
and a ballerina complimenting each other with a pirouette. The
perfect twirl of intrigue, hatred, friendship, love, loss and of
course with a twist of suspense.
Perfection.
